By submitting a request for a vacation check PID 6 residents acknowledge the following:
- A cursory check of their residence may be made, but no guarantee can be made that a vacation check will be performed when requested.
- Residents who request this service give consent for those officers to be on their property and to remove and dispose of any newspapers, fliers etc found on the resident’s property that would suggest the homeowner is away. Officers may contact emergency contacts if they observe packages have been left by a delivery company.
- Vacation check requests may be submitted no more than 7 days prior to the vacation.
- There are no limits on the number of vacation checks that a resident can request in one year; the length of a vacation check is limited to a maximum of 21 days. When a residence is going to be vacant for more than 21 days, please e-mail Lt. Grady at PID6Patrol@aol.com for further information.
- Vacant homes that have no permanent residents are not eligible for this program, please contact Lt. Grady at PID6Patrol@aol.com for further information.
- Vacation checks will not be performed on homes when a member of the household or an invited guest will be staying at the home while the homeowner is away. This also includes allowing others to be inside your home to use the inside facilities or outside facilities such as a swimming pool.
- If you are using the services of a pet sitter, lawn service, contractor or a neighbor is checking on your resident you may use the vacation check program as long as all people who are allowed access to your property are identified in the vacation check request.
- If your vacation plans change or you return early please contact Lt, Grady at PID6Patrol@aol.com or 817-994-3834
